Non Partisan Policy

  • Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) are PROHIBITED from running for or holding a partisan elected office (e.g., Congress, state legislator, governor, sheriff); Board Members are PERMITTED to run or hold elected office;
  • Officers and Board Members are PERMITTED to run for or hold nonpartisan elected office (e.g., judge, city council, school board);
  • Officers and Board Members are PERMITTED to hold an appointed office (e.g., local zoning board, water management district);
  • Officers and Board Members are PERMITTED to serve on a political committee for a partisan (Congress, state legislator, governor) or a nonpartisan candidate (judge, city council, school board);
  • Officers and Board Members are PERMITTED to serve on a political party committee; (e.g., Republican or Democratic Executive Committee)
  • Officers and Board Members are PERMITTED to contribute to a political campaign for a partisan or nonpartisan candidate or to a political party committee;
  • Officers and Board Members are PERMITTED to display support for a candidate or political party (e.g., sign, bumper sticker);
